"I'm moved by people and the way they breathe, connect and look at each other. I’m fascinated by the unspoken words that live between dialogue, by the way light paints one's skin or how silence can become so loud. For me, filmmaking is ultimately about emotion and instinct, about creating something that feels honest and real. It's a craft with so many moving parts that, when all of them find their place, something magical happens. Sometimes it's your gut twisting and other times it can be as simple as a small smile in the corner of your mouth. That’s what I’m after in every project, that brief moment when you stop and relate. I’m a lucky guy to be able to do this."
